Owner & Head Trainer

I’m Tungi and I’ve been a trainer for 20 years. I also created Fitness Edge MD almost 10 years ago (in May 10 years). My goal was/is to create a safe place for people to get healthier. I do my best to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable while also trying to destroy you in a workout lol. The one thing I’ve learned over my time training is that you can always learn more. You should always be trying to perfect your craft and practice what you preach.
I’ve always wanted to be Super hero (Hulk smash) so I could save the world. I settled for changing lives one workout at a time and giving you a big hug after.
I like to make sure all of our FitFam knows how much they mean to me with every interaction. So if I ever see you in our facility, expect to get an amazing workout and tons of positivity from our entire team!

Hi, I’m Cierra, and from a young age, I have always been an athlete. Sports and physical activity have been an integral part of my life, shaping my discipline, resilience, and passion for fitness. Over the years, I have discovered that fitness is more than just a way to stay in shape—it is a powerful tool that transforms not only the body but also the mind and spirit.
Fitness has always been my passion, and I am dedicated to motivating and encouraging others to embrace an active lifestyle. I believe that movement is medicine, and when you push your limits, you unlock your true potential. My goal is to inspire people to challenge themselves, break barriers, and achieve things they never thought possible.
What I love most about fitness is that it makes me feel like the best version of myself. It instills confidence, builds strength, and creates a sense of accomplishment. That is why I am committed to sharing my energy and enthusiasm with others. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced athlete, my classes are designed to be both challenging and fun. I bring passion, motivation, and an uplifting atmosphere to every session.

Trainer

Hey, I’m Joanna and I’ve been a part of the Fitness Edge community for about 9 years and have had the pleasure to be a trainer for the past 4 years. I’ve always been an active person; but it wasn’t until I joined Fitness Edge as a member that I started to achieve my health goals at the level I desired to. I have a background in Physical Therapy and Rehab. I worked as a technician in PT for the past 7 years and really value movement, proper body mechanics and therapeutic exercise techniques.

I believe in 360 health. Working out is a part of the equation, as well as having a strong spiritual foundation, strong internal health through taking the proper vitamins and supplements, healthy nutrition and creating healthy habits to enhance your lifestyle.

My motto when it comes to working out is if you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong. So you can catch me dancing in just about every class I teach. I’m known for being a lover of all things cardio and challenging/ encouraging you to push yourself beyond your perceived limit.

Hi, I’m Alex—though most people know me as “Trainer AV!” My motto is simple but powerful: “When you move well, you perform well.” With over a decade of experience training clients from all walks of life—whether pro athletes, youth, seniors, or anyone in between—my mission is clear: to help you unlock your true potential.

Grounded in corrective exercises and sports performance, I bring a blend of knowledge and passion to every session, creating not just stronger bodies but more resilient minds. At Fitness Edge, I’ve found a home where I can push individuals to their limits while building a supportive, diverse community that thrives across generations.

Hey, I’m Drew. I’ve been a member of Fitness Edge MD for nearly 8 years and a personal trainer for over a year. I got into fitness because I wanted to become a more well-rounded individual in terms of physical ability. I’m a generalist and a believer in the fundamentals of fitness: building up general strength, conditioning as well as athleticism. Fitness is something that is accumulated slowly over the course of many consistent months and even years. I want to take what I’ve learned from training myself and use it to help others who are looking to get into fitness. I teach on Thursdays during the evening and fill in wherever I’m needed. I like to keep my class structure simple so that anyone can jump in, no matter where they currently are on their fitness journey. I look forward to seeing you during class.
